Macmillan Cancer Support have been invaluable to us as a family, our extended family and close friends. So many people are affected by cancer, not just the diagnosed person, but everyone that is linked to that individual. Macmillan Cancer Support team are there with us all every step of the way, at the end of a phone, email, in the hospital entrances and at your bedside in hospital. Dad was over the moon when he was visited by one of the Macmillan team in hospital, who arranged amongst other paperwork, a "blue disabled badge, just like that" for him to use in the car. Dad sadly never got to use the badge, as we couldn't safely transfer him into a car, he still got many outings in a wheelchair taxi - as long as there was food at the end of it for him!
